Number 1: Novak Djokovic wins 2023 French Open, sets another record

The athlete is a three-time champion of the competition

Last Sunday (11), Novak Djokovic made history during his match against Casper Ruud, in the men’s singles tournament, at the French Open, and reached his record with his 23rd Grand Slam title and was the first man to win at least three titles in each of the four majors.

The tennis player’s moves yielded yet another milestone in his career, as he was the oldest male champion at Roland Garros, aged 36 years and 20 days. In addition, the athlete won great praise from Casper Ruud who praised Novak Djokovic during the awards ceremony, stating “what an inspiration you are to millions of people around the world”.

“This moment is very emotional. My children, my wife, my family, my friends. You know how hard a routine is. I thank you for your patience. I really appreciate this support. I had the dream of reaching this court and being champion. I went further. My kids are here, and I want to send them a positive message. I leave a message that when you chase a dream, you might be able to. I have the strength to write my own destiny”, said Novak Djokovic.
