âIt’s easy to compromise now that I know I’m at the end of my career. I might as well commit to that and see what I can do. Then I will have the rest of my life to relax and drink cocktailsâ, said Geraint Thomas when asked about his availability throughout the matches.

The cyclist stated that the competition will not be easy and that it will be another challenge in his career, even more so competing with names that are often on the podium announcements of several matches such as Primoz Roglic, Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel and Thomas Pidcock.
Regarding the last winner of last year’s Vuelta a Espana, the athlete reported that Remco Evenepoel is a brilliant professional: âHe’s a super strong guy, he’s a favourite. The weight of the race will fall on Quick-Step as well as Jumbo-Visma. They are probably the favorites here. He’s a phenomenal talent, he’s probably more prepared for one day, a big effort, not that he’s bad in Grand Tours.”
This week, at the same time that Ineos Grenadiers revealed that Geraint Thomas would be the team’s lead athlete in the competition, it announced that Egan Bernal, Thymen Arensman, Jonathan Catroviejo, Laurens de Plus, Filippo Ganna and Kim Heiduk will also be representing the team in the matches.Â
