Returning to the beginning of his trajectory this year, the athlete recalled the accident followed by a fall that occurred in Liege-Bastogne-Liege in which he suffered a fracture of the scaphoid in his wrist and, consequently, hindered his performance in other competitions.

“At first I didn’t think the crash and the fracture were that important, but now, looking at my preparation for the Tour, they have had an impact. I had to change things from previous years. I started the Tour in great shape, but I wasn’t ready for the three weeks of the race.

At the end of the interview, Tadej Pogocar was asked if he had any regrets about how his season went and the cyclist replied that he would have prioritized his health even more, stating that it would be something important in life. However, he stated that he learned a lot from this year and that he is ready for the next competitions.
