Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will miss at least the next four games, set to miss time on injured reserve.
++Bukayo Saka to miss England games due to injury
The information comes from NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero on Tuesday (10), and he says that the exact timeline for Jefferson being in reserve will depend on how he responds to the treatment. It means he will miss the games against the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons. The Vikings sit 1-4 and third in the NFC North.
++Former Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard has announced his retirement
Jefferson suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday (8), during the fourth quarter of the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. This ends his streak of 53 consecutive games as a starter since week 3 of his 2020 campaign, and is also the first time he has missed an NFL game. He entered Week Five with a league-leading 543 receiving yards from a tie-second 33 catches and three touchdowns.
One option to replace Jefferson will be rookie receiver Jordan Addison. He has 19 catches for 249 yards and three touchdowns through five games. Another option could be tight end TJ Hockenson, having made 30 catches for 254 yards and two scores on the year.
