The friendship between Miami Heat winger Jimmy Butler and Neymar is not new, but the ties between the two are getting closer and closer.

This is because, in an interview with the English newspaper The Guardian, the NBA star praised the Brazilian. They met during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The most recent record of the two together was at the reveal tea of Mavie, the striker’s daughter with Bruna Biancardi.
Fatherhood was even one of the highlights of the interview. According to Butler, Neymar is a reference as a father. The winger also got close to Davi Lucca, the striker’s eldest son, and they talk a lot via video calls.
“He’s an amazing dad. He does so much for them and he’s always around them, teaching them everything about life, about whatever they want to do. Man, it’s amazing to watch. And I learn from it,” Butler told TheGuardian.

Butler is the father of Rylee, who was born in 2019, as a result of his relationship with model Kaitlin Nowak. Due to the birth of his daughter, the player missed the first three games of the 2019/20 season.
“I see Neymar as a brother, do you know what I mean? And I will support him, he knows that. I will fly anywhere to see my brother play. It’s a real family vibe around him and all the people with who I am”, said the winger.
Jimmy also praised Neymar’s skills with the ball in his hands.
“I just want a thousandth of the talent and skill that you have. He’s [obviously] a great football player. In fact, he’s also very good at basketball. In fact, come to think of it, that son of a bitch is good at almost everything”, commented the Miami Heat winger.
