Liverpool are in the English League Cup final again. The competition’s biggest champion, with nine titles, and also the tournament’s biggest finalist, with four other runners-up.
Liverpool secured a place in the 2023/24 edition decision by drawing 1-1 with Fulham on Wednesday (24), at Craven Cottage Stadium.
In this draw with Fulham, Klopp left goalkeeper Alisson, defender Konaté, midfielder Curtis Jones and striker Diogo Jota as options on the bench. Of them, only the Brazilian did not enter the field.
As a result, in the first game, a 2-1 victory at Anfield. Striker Luis Díaz opened the scoring 10 minutes into the second half, and defender Diop tied the game 31 minutes into the second half. The final of the English League Cup will be on February 25th, against Chelsea.
It is worth remembering that Liverpool leads the Premier League, with 48 points, five more than Manchester City (and with one game more). Remains in the FA Cup. They also qualified for the round of 16 of the Europa League.
