Cristiano Ronaldo will have a new team and will play for Al Nassr in 2023

The contract is effective from January 1st of the following year.

Yesterday (05), the Spanish newspaper Marca announced the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo to the Saudi Arabian team, Al Nassr, worth more than 200 million euros per year, including salary and advertising agreements, making him the best-selling player paid in the world. The contract is valid for two and a half seasons.

Cristiano Ronaldo who played for Manchester City, in England, will now earn a salary three times higher compared to those of Neymar and Lionel Messi who currently play for Paris Saint-Germain. The club’s intention with the signing is to bring visibility to Saudi Arabia so that the country can host a future World Cup, in addition to wanting to take the team to the FIFA Club World Cup, through the Asian Super Cup.

Before participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the star had asked for the termination of his contract with Manchester United after failing in the last games of the season and disagreements with the current coach of the English team Erik Ten Hag.
