After missing out on the Australian Open finals, Djokovic shared a relaxed post about the defeat on social media.
Last Wednesday (07), the number one tennis player in the world posted a humorous video produced by the ATP, in which the athletes on the circuit simulate that the competition is staged and that the tennis players are, in fact, characters.
In the advertising campaign, the ATP jokes that the circuits have seasons, like a series. Recalling his loss to Sinner at the Australian Open, Djokovic joked: “Usually the writers start with my character winning.”
Typically, the writers start the season with my character winning the Australian Open. So, for anyone who doesn’t like the start of this season, please contact the director – joked Djokovic on social media.
As a result, the video is part of the ATP’s advertising campaign entitled “The Tour: A Reality Show”. In addition to Djokovic, other tennis players like Carlos Alcaraz played at being actors for a day.
Ten-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic was defeated for the first time in a Grand Slam semifinal in Melbourne. The Serb lost to Jannik Sinner by three sets to 1 – partials of 6/1, 6/2, 6/7 and 6/3, in a game that lasted 3h26min.
