According to the website “The Athletic”, coach Carlo Ancelotti offered the midfielder a place on the club’s coaching staff, if the star decides to retire at the end of the season, when his contract ends.
At first, Modric refused the offer, but the publication states that it was not definitive. The 38-year-old midfielder has not yet decided whether he will retire at the end of this season.
