Amad Diallo scored the winning goal at the end of extra time and qualified the Red Devils for the semi-finals.
McTominay opened the scoring in the 9th minute, in a more dominant start to the game from Manchester United. Mac Allister and Salah turned for Liverpool, and Antony, coming off the bench, equalized the match, 41 minutes into the second half. Classification would have come sooner if Rashford, face to face with Kelleher, hadn’t kicked wide on the last play of the stage.
Extra time reserved three more goals. After Elliott put the Reds back in front, the excitement for the Red Devils came in the second half of extra time. Rashford redeemed himself, this time beating the opposing goalkeeper, in the 6th minute.

And in the 15th minute, in a counterattack led by Garnacho, Diallo scored the winning goal. The Ivorian attacking midfielder was sent off with a second yellow card, for taking off his shirt in celebration, and went to the dressing room before the classification was confirmed.
Therefore, in the semi-final, Manchester United will face Coventry City, a team from the English second division that eliminated Woverhampton in the quarter-finals. On the other side of the bracket are Manchester City and Chelsea. The clashes were defined by draw this Sunday. The next phase will be played on April 20th and 21st, at Wembley.
