Messi is cut from Argentina’s friendlies against El Salvador and Costa Rica

The Argentine team announced on Monday (18) that it will not be able to count on Lionel Messi for this date’s FIFA friendlies. An injury to the tendon in his right leg took the number 10 out of his commitments against El Salvador and Costa Rica.

As a result, Messi was injured during Inter Miami’s game against Nashville, last Wednesday. On that occasion, he scored one of the goals in the 3-1 victory at Concachampions and was substituted at the beginning of the second half.

Lionel Scaloni did not announce a replacement on the list. The coach had already lost Palacios, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, and Dybala, Roma striker, from the initial squad.
