Today (01), through its social networks, the UCI confirmed the return of the “Maryland Cycling Classic” that will take place in four days from September 3, in Baltimore. The event will be officially sponsored by UnitedHealthCare and will be officially broadcast by national and international vehicles.

The second edition of the event has not yet revealed more details about the path of the circuit, but, if it is based on last year’s script, it will be very difficult and will require a lot of training. Brendan Quirk, CEO of America’s competitive cycling governing body, referred to the matches as “the most important bicycle race to have taken place in America in the last five years”.

For cyclists interested in doing some warm ups for the World Tour, the “Maryland Cycling Classic” is an excellent kick off as in 2022, multiple teams were in attendance with around 111 riders who were representing 27 nations.
