However, this year, the tennis player surprised her followers and fans, through social networks, stating that she would be participating in new competitions. “So I’m going to play the US Open. There’s an electric atmosphere of New York that I never get tired of, and I’ve played so well there for years and years. After that I’ll have a few months to prepare for Australia and we’ll take it from there. The Paris Olympics are definitely a goal,” she said.

Even before announcing her return, the tennis player said during an interview with Vogue that her goal was to return to the Australian Open, which will take place on August 28 of this month, and stated how important professional sport is in her life and the complete as a person and a woman.

“It feels great. It was the first match in over three years and I was definitely a little rusty. But what an amazing place to come back and play my first game. I love playing here in Montreal. I have incredible memories from here ”, said Carolina Wozniacki when asked about her victory.
