After being surprised by Lithuania and losing by 110 to 104 at the Manila Mall of Asia Arena, in the Philippines, for the second phase of the Basketball World Cup. The USA team faces Italy on Tuesday, earning a spot in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
“Every player that plays for USA Basketball, they have to recognize what they’re up against and it’s not enough for us to just tell them. They’ve got to feel it,” U.S. coach Steve Kerr said after the loss to Lithuania.

Italy entered the clash after taking first place in the second round. In the history of the confrontation, the USA, five times world champions, have a 12-2 advantage over Italy in the competition.
The US team will once again hope that Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, and Mikal Bridges who have been the highlights in the US scoring can lead the team in the semis.
