French talent Paul Pogba is provisionally suspended for doping

On this monday (11), French midfielder Paul Pogba, from Juventus, was provisionally suspended after being caught using testosterone, the Italian Anti-Doping Agency (Nado) told AFP.

At the time, the French world champion in 2018 did not enter the field. Even so, Pogba was selected to carry out the control test, and the result showed positive for traces of testosterone. The selection of the athlete to undergo the test is done through a draw.

According to Italian website Sport Mediaset, Pogba is provisionally suspended and has three days to request a counter-analysis of the result. If the positive diagnosis is confirmed, the player will be judged by the Italian National Anti-Doping Court and may be punished for four years without playing soccer.

This season, Paul Pogba had not yet entered the field as a starter and played just two matches as a member of the squad, playing for just 52 minutes in total. Juventus has not yet officially commented on the case.
