In a seven-goal game, Chelsea beats Manchester United

A clash for Premier League history. Chelsea and Manchester United played together this Thursday, at Stamford Bridge, for the 31st round. Both teams attacked frantically — there were almost 50 shots. In the end, better for Chelsea, who managed to “turn the corner”, 4-3.

Palmer was the highlight, with three goals (two from penalties), two in stoppage time. Gallagher opened the scoring. Bruno Fernandes and Garnacho (this one, twice, one of them with a beautiful assist from Antony) scored for the visiting team.

With that, Cole Palmer, the 21-year-old English striker, formerly of Manchester City, exploded at Chelsea. It was decisive in this game at Stamford Bridge. Beautiful starts, vision of the game and three goals (two from penalties). Palmer has scored 21 goals in 39 games for Chelsea this season in all competitions.

Furthermore, the 19-year-old Garnacho reached nine goals and four assists this season, in all competitions. No other under-21 player has scored more than him in the 2023/24 Premier League. 

Now, Manchester United has another big challenge for the Premier League in the next round: Sunday’s classic against Liverpool, at Old Trafford. Chelsea, in turn, play on the same day against Sheffield, at Bramall Lane stadium.
