USA beats Oman 4-0 in a friendly international mach

The United States soccer team, beat Oman 4-0 in a friendly match played this Tuesday night (12), at the Allianz Field stadium, in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Folarin Balogun, Brenden Aaronson, Ricardo Pepi and Khalid Al-Braiki, against, scored the North Americans’ goals. This was the second victory in two games, following the return of coach Gregg Berhalter, who led the American team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, eliminated in the round of 16 by the Netherlands.

The USA’s victory started early, in the 13th minute, the ball was hit by the goalkeeper after a shot by Sergiño Dest, but center forward Folarín Balogun finished with a left-footed shot making it 1-0. In the second half, Ahmed Al Khamis fouled Brenden Aaronson. He himself charged and expanded it for the American team.

Towards the end of the match it was Ricardo Pepi’s turn to score. The striker dominated inside the area and had the calm to spin and finish between the defenders. The low shot fell into the left corner of Oman’s goal. Before the final whistle, at 45, Khalid Al-Braiki scored against and closed the score, 4-0 for the USA.

The United States, which will host the 2026 World Cup along with Canada and Mexico, will compete in the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League in November. However, before that, the American team returns to the field on October 14th to face Germany. Then, on the 17th of the same month, he faces Ghana.
