“We want to create more cohesion and cross-fertilization between the different Team Jumbo-Visma teams. We are building with our female team. She has gone through ups and downs in recent years. By creating a more explicit link between the women’s and men’s teams in all areas, we hope to see further developments in the coming years”, said Merijin Zeeman, sporting director at Jumbo-Visma.

The new directors and advisors reported that the change will be positive and that they are confident about the direction for the next year. Merijin Zeeman continued to explain the motivation: “I am very pleased that we have brought together experience, talent and a desire to learn in this technical team. I am therefore confident that our women’s team will become increasingly dominant.”

Even with the departure of important athletes, the team has Marianne Vos, Riejanne Markus, Anna Henderson, Mijntje Geurts and Margaux Vigie, to be able to demonstrate their potential and shine in the next seasons’ competitions. During the press conference, the sporting directors said that they will do everything they can to help the team reach the top.
