The agreement with Carlo Ancelotti to take over the Brazilian team is considered certain behind the scenes by the CBF. However, the coach had a peculiar moment this week during a tribute at the University of Parma, in Italy. During the tribute, the rector affirmed his commitment to Brazil.

“In 2024,Carlo Ancelotti will have an extraordinary adventure that would only be a dream for many coaches: coaching Brazil. He will be the first foreigner in 60 years to command the national team, the fourth in history. The admiration for him is widespread and goes beyond from any location or team. It will be the last award Carlo will present”, said Paolo Andrei during his speech.

Confirmation of the agreement with the Brazilian team was not limited to Andrei’s speech. In the press release, Ancelotti was mentioned as “currently in charge of Real Madrid and in 2024 he will be the coach of the Brazilian national team”.
In addition to the honor, Ancelotti was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa in Sciences and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Motor Activities. However, the coach chose to avoid talking about his future during his speech.
