The player was not on the field for the practice on Monday (23), which raised suspicions that he wouldn’t take part in Sunday’s (29) game against the 49ers. Brown left the match against the Seahawks with a groin injury, and had a bye week to recover.

The left tackle told reporters that the time off served him well, and he plans to be in the lineup and help protect Joe Burrow from the 49ers pass rush. Via the team’s website, Brown said “I do. I feel great with an extra week of rest. This is just an extra day of rest for me”.

The Bengals have won three of their last four games, but head into week eight at the tail end of AFC North, which has no teams with a losing record. Brown can help the chances for the team to keep pace with the rest of the division.
