Without Bradley Beal and Devin Booker, injured, Kevin Durant had to take the lead for the Suns and had a historic night. With the 39 points he scored, he surpassed Hakeem Olajuwon and took 12th place on the list of greatest baskets in history. But it was LeBron James who smiled at the end.
LeBron finished with 21 points, scored six points in a row in the final quarter and was directly responsible for the Lakers’ narrow victory.

Anthony Davis, with 26 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots, was Los Angeles’ main name throughout the game.
On Phoenix’s side, the lack of Booker and Beal was evident, especially in the final stretch. The Lakers had no shame in sending two – or even three – defenders at Durant in the last quarter and the Suns had just 11 points in the last quarter.
Now, the Suns return to the court on Saturday (28), against the Utah Jazz, at home. Meanwhile, the Lakers play on Sunday (29), against the Sacramento Kings, away from home.
