On Sunday (21), Nikola Jokic scored 42 points, his season high, and was the highlight of the victory over the Washington Wizards, by 113 to 104.

He also made a back pass, which resulted in a basket by Aaron Gordon (see the bid below), and received shouts of “MVP”, even playing away from home.

As a result, the back pass seems to have become Jokic’s specialty. The NBA’s “Joker” had already used the trick less than 10 days ago, in the game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The curious thing is that, on that occasion, the assistance also went to Aaron Gordon.

Against the Wizards, Jokic also grabbed 12 rebounds, guaranteeing another double-double. The Nuggets center made 15 of 20 shots from the field and converted 12 of 14 free throws. At the end of the game, he heard Washington fans chant “MVP”.

“This (the support of rivals) is unique! The greatest honor for a player is to go on the road, lead the team to victory and have the respect of the entire NBA community. True fans recognize the greatness of a player”.

“Fortunately, we watched an athlete who plays the right way. If you don’t love Nikola Jokic, I don’t know what you’re looking for. The guy is very talented, intelligent and one of the least selfish”, praised Michael Malone, coach of the Denver Nuggets.

In the current NBA season, Jokic is averaging 26 points, nine assists and almost 13 rebounds per game. He has already entered the court 43 times.

Furthermore, Jokic’s Denver Nuggets occupy third place in the Western Conference, with 30 wins and 14 losses. The franchise has only five negative results in the last 21 games. The next opponent will be the Indiana Pacers, this Tuesday (23).
