Foden scores hat-trick and City beats Brentford in the Premier League

With a show by Phil Foden, scorer of the three goals, Manchester City beat Brentford 3-1, away from home, this Monday (5), and entered the dispute for the English title.

With one game less than their main rivals, Pep Guardiola’s team took second place in the Premier League, with the same 49 points as Arsenal and two less than leaders Liverpool.

After spending the entire first round without De Bruyne and almost two months without Haaland, City are back to their full strength and are starting to hit the ground running for the season.

The victory over Brentford, in the 23rd round, was the fifth in a row in the English Championship. City’s delayed game, valid for the 18th round, is against Brentford, in Manchester, and is scheduled for February 20th. 

Before that, Guardiola’s team will face Everton, on the 10th, and Chelsea, on the 17th, both at home.
