Detroit Pistons point guard Evan Fournier was fined by the NBA for kicking the basketball into the stands. The situation happened on Sunday night after the team lost in the last second to the Miami Heat by 101 to 104.

Unhappy with the defeat, Fournier went overboard by kicking the game ball in the air. This Tuesday, the league announced that the player’s punishment would be a fine of 25 thousand dollars.

Fournier scored 18 points in the game. In total, in just over 31 minutes of play, he had four rebounds, one assist and no blocks. Bam Adebayo, from the Heat, was the scorer of the match with 20 points. So far, Fournier has not spoken about the punishment.

The defeat only worsened the situation for the Pistons, who occupy 14th place in the Eastern Conference, with 56 defeats and just 12 wins. In the next round, the team will still play against the seventh-placed Pacers.
