Real Madrid and Manchester City draw in a six-goal game

The last two champions of the Champions League, Real Madrid and Manchester City played a game this Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabéu, with two comebacks and great goals, and which ended 3-3. Bernardo Silva opened the scoring in the first minute, with a free kick.

Real turned things around in the first half, with goals from Rúben Dias (own goal) and Rodrygo. Foden and Gvardiol scored in the middle of the second half, but Valverde equalized again with a great goal, in the 32nd minute. Everything was the same in the first game of this Champions League quarter-final clash.

Brazilian Rodrygo scored six goals for Real Madrid in the knockout stages of the Champions League (and 19 in all stages). All of them against English teams (and three against Manchester City). With today’s two assists, Vinicius Junior reached 16 goal contributions against English teams in the Champions League. Seven goals of his own plus nine assists, all in the knockout stage.

Belgian De Bruyne felt ill moments before the game and could not be selected by Guardiola. According to the coach, the midfielder was ready, but started vomiting when he arrived in the dressing room.

The return game between Manchester City and Real Madrid will take place on Wednesday next week, April 17th, at the Etihad Stadium, in Manchester.
