Last Sunday (16), in Holland, Tadej Pogocar won another competition and secured first place in the Amstel Gold Race 2023. During the stages, the cyclist managed to demonstrate even more strength, overtaking Tom Pidcock, who was in third place, and Ben Healy, in second position.

“I didn’t expect to go on the run so soon. But after the puncture and being able to return to the lead, I myself doubted that I would be able to go solo until the end. I just went forward and set the pace. Mathieu van der Poel told me that that climb would be the toughest and that I should attack there and that’s really where I chose to attack”, said the Amstel Gold Race champion.

The event that represents the biggest race of the season in the Netherlands, has been sponsored by the brewery since 1966, providing support, promotion and importance for the sports category. In recent years, renowned athletes have been present at the competition and the winners have been Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert.
