The player is considered one of the promises in the sport

Recently, through social networks and official websites, Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown announced that he would participate in the BIG3 All-Star Game event, which was held last Saturday (26), at the 02 Arena, in London. Now, with the statement, the American has become the first active NBA player to collaborate with one of the sport’s biggest charity events.

In a statement, the press office said: “Jaylen Brown will be playing to support local charity London Youth, which aims to support and improve the lives of young people in London through its network of community organizations. BIG3 matches Jaylen’s donation to the organization to further raise awareness of the global causes Jaylen supports”.

The event brought together several players who are absent from the sport, but who, for a good cause, will be making their presence felt on the courts. They are: Jordan Crawford, Rashard Lewis, Mario Chalmers, Michael Beasley, Nick Young, Glen Rice, Joe Johnson, Jodie Meeks, Ryan Carter and Jonathon Simmons.

Off the courts, the athlete has been increasingly dedicated to various community works such as the Brigde Program, created by the player through the 7uice Foundation, with the objective of providing learning and leadership for young people from marginalized traditional minority communities.

In late July, the NBA announced that Jaylen Brown had signed the most expensive contract in professional basketball with the Boston Celtics, worth $303.7 million over a five-year period. The amount announced surpasses even Nikola Jokic’s agreement, with a total of US$276 million dollars.
