Us team beat Italy easely and advance to the semifinals of the Basketball World Cup

This Tuesday morning (5), the United States secured qualification for the semifinals of the Basketball World Cup by beating Italy by 100 to 63.

Mikal Bridges, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA, was the scorer of the match with 24 points, in addition to four assists and two rebounds. Simone Fontecchio was Italy’s standout with 18 points.

The great use of the Us team, converting 61% of their shots, was decisive for the course of the match. Italy, however, failed in the three-point balls, falling below 20% of success. The USA’s biggest lead in the match was 39 points.

Now the US team awaits the opponent of the semifinals, which comes out of the confrontation between Latvia and Germany which is scheduled to happen tomorrow (6) morning.

On the other side of the key, Serbia has already qualified after beating Lithuania by 87 to 68. The Balkan team took the advantage in the second quarter of the game, but managed the result until the end.
