The departure of the player came after been reprimanded by Sean Dyche, Everton boss, for a supposed criticism on social media, after a failed transfer to Fulham. “There has been a lot of speculation about my situation all summer. I was ready to play as much as possible this season but it felt like this was not going to happen.” Dyche responded to Demarai saying that the club has the final say on moves.
