Without Jumbo-Visma: Primoz Roglic could decide his future in the coming weeks

Last Wednesday (27), according to the website WielerFlits, due to rumors about the merger of Jumbo-Visma and Soudal-QuickStep, Primoz Roglic is willing to break his contract and transfer to other teams. Ineos Grenadiers and Lidl-Trek are the ones that have shown the most interest in cyclists.

According to the news, the owner of Ineos Grenadiers, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, would be willing to pay any price equivalent to the fine for breaking the athlete’s contract that would last until 2025, to acquire the professional for his team. Reports state that Jumbo-Visma is aware of the membership and therefore has set a single amount for the transfer.

Previously, when he was participating in the Vuelta a Espana, speculation began to arise that Primoz Roglic was not completely satisfied with his team and that he could soon make a change. Asked about the possibility, the athlete stated that if it occurred, it could be positive measures meaning a good performance in his career.

Should he sign a new contract with Ineos Grenadiers, the cyclist would become one of the most potent members with the opportunity to lead his team. However, Primoz Roglic has not yet taken a position on the information, and could go against the rumors and be inserted into Movistar, Bahrain Victorious or Lidl-Trek. There are chances that the announcement will take place before October 1st.

While no information is confirmed, Primoz Roglic remains with his full schedule for the end of the season competing in the three Italian classics, Giro dell’Emilia, Tre Valli Varesine and II Lombardia.
