“I have loved running every kilometer of this race so far, so I feel it’s the perfect time to tell you that this is my last Giro d’Italia and 2023 will be my last season as a professional cyclist. Cycling has been my life for the past 25 years, I have absolutely been living in a dream. Cycling has given me the opportunity to see the world and meet incredible people, many of whom I am proud to call friends”, said the athlete in the publication.

Mark Cavendish started his career in the sport in 2007 and, with more than 20 years of career, the athlete won three Madison world titles and Olympic silver at the Omnium in Rio 2016. In addition, he obtained 161 victories, becoming the third best cyclist in stages in big turns.
