Now, the athlete will focus on sport competitions in the mountains.

“I have always enjoyed racing in Belgium. I have won some very important races here. Will this be my last road race in Belgium? It more than likely is, but never say never in life. I will do some mountain bike races in Belgium next season, but my road career will be over soon,” said Peter Sagan.

The competition brought together heavyweight cyclists such as Jonas Gregaard (Uno-X), Jordi Meeus (Bora-Hansgrohe), Dries De Bondt (Alpecin-Deceuninck), Oliver Naesen (AG2R Citroen) and Michael Vanthourenhout (Pauwel Sauzen-Bingoal). The last two competitors won the first starts of the Derny Race Wettern.
Previously, after having participated in the road race at the World Championship and the Bretagne-Classic, the cyclist had reported that next season he would return to his origins, he would return to mountain biking and that he would compete in the next matches with Specialized Factory Racing.
