In an interview with People magazine, Carl Nassib said that he has been playing the sport since he was eight years old and that if he stayed in the area, this would be his 23rd football season. The athlete said he is excited about the next stages of his career and his company Rayze, which is dedicated to connecting people with non-profit organizations in search of volunteers and donations.
The player recalled the moment he decided to come out as gay to all his teammates and fans: “I felt very lucky to be able to be on a big stage and, like, do a good play while representing the community. Being the first player eliminated in a game and then winning. This is sick, this is cool.”
Carl Nassib stated that even after his departure from the NFL, he will continue to play a very important role related to discoveries, encouragement and enthusiasm. The athlete said that in his revelation, everyone around him supported him and he could not have exposed himself in this way without the welcome he had.
Previously, the athlete went through several teams and, in addition to having a strictly important role in society, he showed an excellent performance in the training camps. Carl Nassib played seven seasons for the Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
